I double checked before I bought it to make sure it had the cord I needed (VGA) included. The guy who helped me made it easy to make sure. Fortunately my first choice came with the cord I required.

If cables are provided for all inputs, each consumer of this product would have two cables that would not be used. This would create unnecessary environmental waste and not be a cost effective approach. We try to provide a cable for a connection that the majority of users would use. We understand this may not meet the needs of all users that have HDMI or DVI connections. We will work on getting the included cable type added to the product description, to alleviate this type of frustration for future consumers.
