It's 75 Hz. I went through the same thing. If you look at Acer's website, the top blurb for this monitor series (XF) says something about being 144Hz, but there is a superscript 2 that leads you to the bottom where it states specifications vary depending on the model. This is one of the models that varies. It is 75Hz.

I have this monitor and can report that the refresh rate is high enough that there is no noticeable flicker.
It's 75hz, the 144 hz is an upgraded version of this monitor.
The monitor has a 75hz refresh rate. That must be a typo in the description. It does have free sync that will work with AMD gpus to match the game refresh rate within a range of 40 to 75hz.
