“i still cannot change channels on the receiving tv .. all the green lights are steady and i get a picture and sound but i cannot use remote at the receiving tv . i have a verizon fios box”

Nancy, try the following steps: 1. Change the batteries in your Fios remote 2. Follow the instructions on the back of the remote and reprogram it to the receiving TV 3. Check that the remote turns the TV off/on and controls the volume 4. Make sure the IR transmitter cable is properly placed on the transmitter AND the IR receiver cable is securely plugged into the IR receiver unit and properly mounted on front of TV (see install instructions for picture) 5. Make sure you are pointing your remote toward the IR receiver when trying to change the channels with the Fios remote. 6. If this fixes, YEAH!! If not, turn everything off (IR transmitter/TV/IR receiver and repeat Steps 4&5
