• Spend a couple extra bucks and get 802.11ac. If you can upgrade the cards in your devices do that also, if not just stage for your next one. I pay for 30mbps wifi and the attached pic is what I get.

• No, they are not the same. The Actiontec has broadband router and wireless capabilities, while the Linksys is simply an ethernet switch.
