There is not a physical CD or usb with installation files, you'll have to download the installation files from Adobe. Depending on the product option you choose, digital download vs retail, the steps to secure a serial number differ, but either way you will have to go through a 3rd party verification service to verify you are a Student or Teacher using what is called a product code, either emailed to you if you purchase digital download or included in the box if retail. You provide that code, verify your eligibility and the 3rd party provider outputs a serial number for MacOS or yet another code that requires another step if on Windows. For windows, you take that second code supply it to a specific Adobe page and their system will finally output a serial number to use during installation.
