“What is the difference between Photoshop and photoshop Elements?”

• My understanding is that Elements is an abbreviated version of the complete Photoshop suite, but unless you're a professional, Elements should be all you'll ever need.

• Elements is a less featured version of Photoshop. Fewer tools, less sophisticated, simpler to use. Photoshop is now only available as a download and must be paid for monthly as a subscription service called Creative Cloud, or CC. Unless you are a working professional, or an advanced amateur just start with Elements. It has most of the tools you need at a low purchase cost.
