• Yes. Samsung discontinued theirs, and turn the manufacturer of it over to Aeotec.

• Yes. It is. It's the exact same hub as the Samsung SmartThings V3 hub, only with a different name on it as Samsung outsourced the development of its hubs to Aeotec.
