• Yes but you need to buy the Grow Anything kit.

• You have to use the pods. They do sell pods that don’t have seeds in them though, so you can put any seeds you want in them

• I don’t think so. The tank cover holds the pods at the correct height and the plants are designed to be immersed (hydroponic)

• You can either use the seed kit that come with it (herbs) or you may purchase empty pods to put your own seeds on. I have done both.
