No because they don't go inside your ear

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I like this headphone set BECAUSE it does not sit in my ear. So the ear canal is not aggravated by something being "stuffed" into it. It also allows me to hear other conversations or someone in my family who might be calling me if I am wearing them in the house. When I am running which they are great for I can hear traffic if it coming from behind. So I like these head phones for precisely the opposite reason than noise cancelling. But the headphones do come with a set of ear plugs which could block out outside noise however I have never used the ear plugs since my goal was to AVOID stuffing anything in my ear to begin with. I don't think they are necessarily the best option for noise cancelling but they are the best headphones I have ever used. The only short coming is that when the head set needs to be charged the female receptacle that the charging wire is plugged into on the head set is delicate and if by accident you try to plug in the wrong type of charger then the head set is useless after that. Since I destroyed a set that way I am very careful when plugging the head set in for charging. I think this is the best head set on the market.
