It connects via blue tooth. I don’t think it would make a difference as long as the radio is blue tooth compatible. But I’m retired police and I would not use this for monitoring radio traffic. This device does not block external noise or block the ear canal from external noise so you would have to wear ear plug. Also it does not fit well enough.. it will catch on the radio antenna or collar of your coat etc when you turn your head.
