It all depends on the type of "unlimited" plan you have. It does require a high-speed connection to get quality pictures.

Local (antenna) channels don't use your bandwidth for video, so that should be fine. The impact will be seen if/when you watch Sling TV streaming channels that would use your bandwidth for video. So, yes it would work but only when hotspot is on and will be limited to the hotspot's bandwidth and how much it can stream via said bandwidth. So, while it can be done, I don't recommend it. Get a decent internet service and use that instead (cabled or wi-fi). I use wi-fi via my router.
