A:Answer The SIM card comes with the phone. The SIM card means subscriber identification module. It is unique to the phone. If you remove the tiny SIM card, your phone does not work at all.
There is also a battery that comes with the phone. This usually needs to be charged before you can start up the phone's operation. You charge it by the car or wall plug-in cord.
The one thing that I did not get with the phone was a SD Card. This is a memory card. But, there is a place to insert one in the back of the phone where all the other things are also inserted (battery and SIM). BUT, even though I do not have a SD Card yet, the phone has a gallery place to store text messages and a few pictures. I'm sure, though, that this will fill up fast the more I take pictures. SD Cards vary in price. You should also look at the SD card possibilities/prices before you settle on your phone.
It is scary...really scary ....putting a SIM card in the phone. They are so tiny and delicate. And a person really doesn't know which way to point it into the slot or how to maneuver with it. Fortunately, my new phone had the SIM already in it! I should think, though, that Best Buy people would help a person with inserting, if you were their customer.
The RED CARD (instructions) that come with the phone....SAVE THIS in a secure place. It has the SIM code on it in larger print than on the actual SIM card which is tiny print.
