No this phone is not unlocked and can only be used with a total wireless sim which means locked. I bought the phone for my dad whom missed his prior flip phone. And was misinformed by bestbuy website that it is unlocked. I purchases but because my dad went out of town for the holidays I was not able to return it. Buyer beware you will only have 14 days to return.
