“I just purchased this phone as a replacement . Same phone my son broke. I can not get Instagram to download from the playstore, says it is not compatible with this phone. Funny thing is my son had intagram on the same exact phone and it worked fine.”

Things change with the App Store and compatibility. I have some say not compatible or sometimes not optimized for your device. All You can do is contact the developers for the app if you believe it's an error. It may have worked ok before but that's for you could Be many people had problems so they chose to no longer offer it due to problems others customers had.
