OP, please ignore the Best Buy answer as it is inherently WRONG! This laptop comes with an i9 processor which has 6 cores and can run 12 threads, in layman's terms, it's gonna use some juice. Further, the 1080c GPU is overclocked, as well as the CPU, if you wish to do so and thus further decreases the battery life. Not to mention, the laptop is extremely heavy. So I wouldn't worry about portability. Also thank you "well informed best buy employee" for not mentioning the fact that the customer can purchase a external GPU, for less than $200 and THEN PLUG IT INTO ANOTHER SCREEN. I short OP, this employee has no idea what they are talking about. The real answer is it is a 1080p 60hz panel to reduce Best Buy's costs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it's a lot power, and obviously we are missing a lot of power from our gpu, but there are three benefits i found 1) 4k it's not for a gaming laptop, really high battery consumption and a lot of heat 2) you can use an external monitor if you want 3)This isn't the best laptop monitor, but it's really hard, it allows you to configure it alot, for example i overclocked it to 80hz and runs perfect... configured the "ms" in order to be more stable while playing
