Q: QuestionDoes anyone know whether one or two memory slots are used up now? To go to 32 gig ram i would have to remove both existing memory sticks if there are two currently.

• A:Answer Both DIMMS are used, occupied by 2x8GB DDR4 2666. If you're looking to go 32 then you need to be aware that this system doesn't support XMP so Crucial, Kingston, Corsair etc 2666 modules will be downclocked to 2400 or below. Dell has a 32GB kit but it's more expensive than any of the high end 3rd party folks and Dell doesn't publish the CAS numbers on it so good luck knowing what you're getting. They also don't release who the OEM is so you can't look at a comparable product.

• A:Answer Absolutely, Best;Buy- as well as other companies use progressive lease as a means to help people that have either bad credit or don’t want to use a credit card. It’s extremely simple and you don’t have to have a credit check done. Basically, you agreed to pay the item off in 90 days. They literally break down the payments So that it’s paid off in 90 days. Here’s the catch, if you don’t pay it off in 90 days or miss a payment interest is accrued retroactively and the interest is well over 100%. This is how this company makes its money. They actually want you to miss a payment so that they can make a lot of money off of you. If however you know your finances Will allow you to Pay this item off in three months, it’s an amazing solution. One of which I will use many times in the future. Just be careful not to get yourself in a bind!

Q: QuestionCurious why a i9 CPU, 1080OC GPU and a 60hz 1080p panel?! That is just way to much power for 1080p much less 60hz.

• A:Answer OP, please ignore the Best Buy answer as it is inherently WRONG! This laptop comes with an i9 processor which has 6 cores and can run 12 threads, in layman's terms, it's gonna use some juice. Further, the 1080c GPU is overclocked, as well as the CPU, if you wish to do so and thus further decreases the battery life. Not to mention, the laptop is extremely heavy. So I wouldn't worry about portability. Also thank you "well informed best buy employee" for not mentioning the fact that the customer can purchase a external GPU, for less than $200 and THEN PLUG IT INTO ANOTHER SCREEN. I short OP, this employee has no idea what they are talking about. The real answer is it is a 1080p 60hz panel to reduce Best Buy's costs.
