QuestionI have seen people say previously this IS a GSync enabled display, and others have said it is NOT .... Which is it? Is there an easy way to tell if/when I go see a display model at a Best Buy store?

- Answer It most certainly DOES have G-Sync. I picked one up yesterday from Best Buy and reading all these misleading comments made me think I wouldn't have G-sync. Booted up and g-sync recognized the display and g-sync IS enabled.

- Answer The fine print in the hardware description says the screen is IPS. Assuming it's identical to the base-level IPS in other current 17" Alienware laptops, that's a 60Hz G-Sync "anti-glare" display (that's from the Dell website). I would ASSUME "anti-glare" means a matte finish, but I suppose it might be some other kind of anti-glare finish/coating.

QuestionWas this item ever for sale? My local store always used to have it in stock but now they carry the new thinner Alienware products. I have ordered a geek squad certified open-box and had it delayed/cancelled TWICE. Is there ANY way to order this item??

- Answer We walked in to buy just any kind of laptop not realizing my sister wanted an specific gamers laptop and they were all so expensive but one of the guys showed us this specific open box one that they actually had on display at the counter and my sister fell In love with and I fell in love on the price so it worked out for her gaming needs and my personal budget!

- Answer Yes, this can handle streaming with no issue provided you have a good internet connection. The GTX 1070 is great for editing videos paired with the 6 core i7 processor.

- Answer Great question! I use my Alienware gaming laptop for my small business. I’ve learned the hard way to always overestimate the computing power you may need. A gaming system offers versatility. Sure it doesn’t look very businesslike, but it will handle anything you throw at it.
