Yes but the i7 is a very powerful processor for gaming. Honestly most people that are just going to play games on their pc go with an i5 as it’s the cheapest. You must keep in mind that with this generation of i7 cpus you are getting 8 cores and 8 threads for a total of 16 combined processing cores. No game even takes full advantage of that currently.
