• The 2 TB is cheaper because it doesn't have an SSD. SSD for the operating system and 1 TB hd for storage.

• I don't see the 2TB option in this format (GTX 1070), but if there was one it was probably because that version probably did not come with a SSD. A 256GB SSD is much more expensive than the additional 1TB. If you are in need of one with a 2TB and are looking around that price range I included a possible option for you.
