The difference is the K supports over clocking. If you are a tweaked than go for the K. I went with the 8700 standard not K and with the GTX 1080 I have been able to play all games at max settings without any issues. Although I do have my system connected to 60” 1080 TV. So haven’t been able to see what kind of performance I get in 4K.
