“Since this is fan cooled, how loud are the fans under load. I'm a casual gamer and do some video editing and audio recording. The noise level would be a factor in using it for audio recording. Also, how upgradeable is it for future proofing it?”

the big thing is that it can be loud only when under load. While heavy gaming, or intense video editing the fans will rev up quite a bit (you can upgrade the fans also) but as long as you aren't doing audio recording during those you should be fine
