“Sounds similar to the previous question regarding refresh rate, but for an Xbox Series X or PS5 obviously 240 hz is overkill but does that have any effect on a console pushing a max of only 120 hz/fps? I plan on using this for PC anyway, just making sure”

There shouldn't be anything afflicted upon the xbox series x or ps5 for the lack of reaching that 240 hz benchmark. You may have to fiddle around with the settings though to enable the xbox or ps5 to utilize the 120hz feature on the monitor though as sometimes it isn't always recognized immediately, but ultimately the console should very likely be fine.
