The battery operating system varies depending on operating conditions and can significantly reduce under certain power-intensive conditions. We recommend to work with the Dell support team to make changes in graphic settings and try to extend the battery life.

It is a high performance machine and even when my power settings are set to balanced, it can use the battery quickly. If you aren't gaming and don't need the extra performance, lower the settings and see what happens. The computer should still work fine as most other tasks don't need such high performance.
