QuestionWill this device detector/monitor atrial flutter? I am not speaking of atrial fibrillation. I want to be able to monitor and record a chart showing atrial flutter to upload to my doctor. I also want to know if this is FREE or kardiacare?

- Answer Atrial fibrillation and flutter are nearly identical. With fib, you will not see the small P waves, as your atria are fibrillating (imagine a bowl of jello shaking). Flutter will show the P waves fluttering, appearing like saw teeth between the large qrs waves.

QuestionIs there a carrying case for this model

- Answer None came with mine, but I don't see the need for one. There are no protrusions to catch on anything or break off, and the unit itself is built quite solid. In my opinion, a carrying case would likely add size and make it less portable, and the whole idea of the product is to be an unobtrusive portable measurement device. If you break it while it's in your pocket you probably also did some damage to yourself or your clothes. You won't break it dropping it unless you do so from a tall building.

QuestionClarification Nomonthly subscription I know you get 6 different PDF and tracing, but do I need a monthly subscription for it to tell me if I am in afib or having preventricual contractions. Doesn't sound very good if so.

QuestionRetired cardiac nurse. Will this device show ST depression or elevation? Any changes in ekg tracing that can detect ischemia. History of an MI with stent and have 2 other blockages that were 50 and 60%.

- Answer ST depressions are visible as well as other wave forms, artifacts, and movements too, so try to stay still. I've compared the tracings to those done in the office. They are very close. Actually, cardiologists are recommending; can send the PDF to your Specialist or PCP office in an email.

Question2 Questions------Is it returnable if I buy it in store? Both of my knees have been replaced will this cause any problem I read something about connecting a wire to your knee.

- Answer I assume Best Buy would take a return, but ask them. If you are doing a six lead recording, you need to have the bottom of the unit resting on your leg, not the knee, I use my thigh. But usually I just do a rhythm strip, which just needs a finger or two from each hand.
