“I already have an existing back up camera in my Jetta. Am I understanding correctly that this camera will not be compatible with the system and I would be forced to purchase an Alpine camera in order to have a back up camera ?”

I have the factory installed back up camera on my Toyota Sequoia and it did connect to the Alpine unit. What I found does not connect are dash cameras that also come with rear facing cameras that are not Alpine.
