Yes it will. Very well at that. Honestly one amp would decently run both subs. But no doubt one per sub at 500w at 2ohms will hit hard.

Please try again later.I have not personally tried it but the specs for the amp say that it is rated, "Up to 500W RMS (continuous) power @ 2 ohms, up to 300W RMS power @ 4 ohms and up to 350W @ 1 ohm. It is a 2 ohm stable amplifier and should not have any trouble driving a 2 ohm sub. My experience with Alpine is that they don't over estimate their specs. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Your Alpine Type-Rs are rated anywhere between 750w RMS and 100”w RMS depending on the model year. You would be under powering them. I would look into a 1500-2000w RMS amp for your subs.
