• A:Answer Not required, but it wouldn't hurt them either. Coax speakers never need anything more than the head unit to power them. Of course, anything sounds better when you pump more juice to them via amp.

• A:Answer tooooo much, do it yourself and save some dough. It is easy. Hardest part is taking the doors off, which is usually only a couple of bolts and some clips. Youtube it.
