- Answer This is a subwoofer amp. Look for a 4 channel amp to power door and deck speakers. They have a similar alpine amp for that it looks and costs the same too.

QuestionWill with pair with 400 rms x 1 at 2 ohm SVC subwoofer? I have found this exact product on the alpine company website with different specs than stated here and im confused.

- Answer I think the best bird will be to reachout to a Blueshirt(Bestbuy) if you happen to leave around the twin city the reason I say is because they have a demo you can see,touch,even play music from your phone and listen to the sound quality if it what you are looking for. I mean ALPINE is a great product to me

QuestionWith this amp which speaker would hit harder?? I like the deep deep bass..... Alpine type r swr 12d4 or alpine swr 12 d2 type rz ? On the two speakers what does the d4 and d2 mean? When it comes to ohm's doesn't the lower ohm hit harder and deeper?

- Answer The type r series will provide more sound then the type a series because they handle more power. The d2 and d4 just mean 2 ohm and 4 ohm. If you look at the wiring diagrams for the amp it'll show you how to hook up each type of speaker

- Answer 4 gauge would be best but 8 gauge will work. Must be copper wires though not CCA (copper clad aluminum)

- Answer Yes alpine makes a 2 ohm sub and a 4 ohm sub I have 2 4ohm s series subs running off this amp and they sound great

QuestionI have this amp powering an alpine 12” type R and after 10-15 min of loud bass it will power off and will not turn back on until I turn off my head unit and turn it back on... any suggestions?

- Answer Could be a few things, most of the time it's a simple wiring error changing the impedance to something the amp can't handle, so when the fets start to get hot the amp will go into protection. Ensure you have the proper impedance speaker, hooked up properly to get the impedance the amp can handle, and you should be good. If it's not going into protection and is just turning off randomly, check your power/ground/remote wiring, something may be loose. Also, if the speaker isn't in a proper size enclosure or the enclosure is tuned to a frequency the speaker can't handke, this can sometimes cause the speaker to do strange things in terms of it's load on the amp or its power handling. Could be causing it as well.

- Answer Yea probably be pretty happy with this amp as long as the impedance is 2-4 ohms In short you’ll be happy even with 2 12”

- Answer Ok, the answer depends on a few things. What is the impedance of each sub? 4 or 2 ohms? Depending on the amp you must have at least 2 ohms or 1 ohm when measured across the subs. For example if you bridge 2 4 ohm subs you will have only 2 ohms of resistance felt by the amp. If you have 2x 2ohm subs bridged it will feel like a 1ohm loaf at the amp. They make amps that can handle 1ohm for this purpose. Just check that, when you know, spec out an amp that can handle 4/2/1 ohm loads. Good luck
