“I have an older model and am not able to make it play photos from a SDX card. Is there a limit on a card capacity that it will take? Mine is 400Gb. I'm looking at this newer model now but worried the result will be the same.”

On older models we generally recommend 64GB or less. The newer frames (P/N's that begin with AWS), can accept 128GB.
