You need to run a simple test before you can solve the problem. Have you plugged in a standard, wired headphone into the new TV's headphone jack to see if it is "live?" The transmitter can only broadcast what it "sees" at its input. You may be broadcasting silence if the headphone jack is disabled in your TV's SETTINGS. I'd bet the test headphones (wired) are silent, too. Most TV's are delivered with the headphone jack disabled in the settings. My LG is that way. In order to get multi-channel output through HDMI or optical, you can't also have stereo to the headphone output. The TV manufacturer expects the end user is primarily interested in multi-channel output. If you go into your SOUND or AUDIO settings you will likely see a list of options where you can choose which outputs to enable and/or how many channels to output. Some choices may force you to choose between two desirable outcomes, and give up something.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
