“Can I use this with a LG43LJ5500 Smart tv with only a optical audio out? I stopped into a BB store, and two employees said I would need only this and a Bluetooth headset. However, the tv doesn't have a 3.5mm/headphone jack. What equipment do I need?”

If your tv doesnt have a 3.5 jack you will need a digital audio converter thats how i have my tv

No, you cannot use this transmitter with an optical audio out connection (but you can use the MEE BT transmitter that offers that option & even comes with all 3 options' cables for connecting to the TV).
