Great Bluetooth TV to Bluetooth headphone
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use cost effective and reliable with a seamless connection. I've purchased headphone and TV Bluetooth sets and they were full of constant static. This have a better alternative because you can connect any Bluetooth headphones which makes it easy and more comfortable

Basic but effective BT transmitter
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this BT device for a few weeks now, and it's working pretty much as expected. It's compact and plugged directly into the headphone jack on my Sony GX800ES receiver (only needed a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter). The battery life seems a little inconsistent, and the indicator light is so teeny tiny that it's almost impossible to see, especially when it's alternating between blue and red indicators. Note: The two white marks on my device were added to make the on/off switch easier to see and use. The sound quality is very good, and it paired easily with my Bose QC 35II headphones. When watching a video, there is a VERY slight lag between the video image and the headphones. Not enough to be out of lip sync with the image(s), but enough to make it impossible to leave the surround-sound external speakers on without getting an echo effect. I'm usually using the headphones so that I don't disturb others, so that's not significant. If you're only using the transmitter for audio, this is immaterial. For the price, this is an excellent choice.

Poor Quality Sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, boooo Best Buy! The transmitter arrived in a sealed padded shipping envelope that was in perfect condition, but when I opened it, the box inside containing the transmitter had clearly been opened BEFORE shipping it to me as it had a tear in it and the power cable was missing. I previously assumed that when I order something from Best Buy, that, unless stated otherwise, the item will be brand new. Apparently that isn’t necessarily true. Regarding the Aluratek transmitter, after scrounging up a cable to replace the missing one in order to charge it, I tested the transmitter with my LG TV. Pros: it paired easily with my JLAB GO AIR POP earbuds (which, by the way, sound fantastic when paired with my Apple iPod Nano or my iPhone Xs.). Also, the sound delay is only a tiny fraction of a second and is not noticeable at all unless you connect wired speakers at the same time. Cons: the sound quality produced by the Aluratek transmitter was terrible. It reminded me of listening to a pocket AM radio back in the ‘60s. People’s voices sounded very garbled like blown speakers. And lest you think maybe it was my earbuds or the TV output, I can assure you it was not. I checked my JLAB earbuds again with my Nano and once again they sounded incredible and highly recommend them. I then connected the same AUX output on my LG used to test the Aluratek to my wired Bose earbuds and they also sounded fantastic. Lastly, to make sure, I reconnected the Aluratek transmitter to the AUX output on the LG and paired it again with the JLAB buds. I became convinced; the Aluratek transmitter sucks. Yeah, they work in the sense that they transmit sound. If you care about the quality of that sound, stay away. Also, there’s no volume control so you need to pair the Aluratek with earbuds or headphones that include it. (The JLABs do.) BTW, to add insult to injury, apparently Best Buy no longer gives you 45 days to return an item. I missed the tiny 14 day window and now I’m stuck with this poor quality transmitter that I’ll never use. Rats!

An Easy to Use Bluetooth Transmitter
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's exactly what I was looking for. I needed a way to broadcast Bluetooth from some older analog devices to a few of my wireless headphones and speakers. Does what it says on the box. I was hesitant, because I was unsure how it would pair with devices that require a pair code... I haven't had one device it didn't connect with. A little trial and error, just read the instructions! Haven't had a problem since. My only gripe I guess would be that it only comes with an rca jack to 3.5mm headphone port adapter. An optical to headphone would have been awesome, just so I could at least connect my LG TV to it to watch quietly at night. Oh well, it was cheap and available.

Q: Questioncannot get this bluetooth transmitter to work on my new tv. it is paired with my Sony wireless headphones. no sound comes out.
Asked by bec.
- A:Answer You need to run a simple test before you can solve the problem. Have you plugged in a standard, wired headphone into the new TV's headphone jack to see if it is "live?" The transmitter can only broadcast what it "sees" at its input. You may be broadcasting silence if the headphone jack is disabled in your TV's SETTINGS. I'd bet the test headphones (wired) are silent, too. Most TV's are delivered with the headphone jack disabled in the settings. My LG is that way. In order to get multi-channel output through HDMI or optical, you can't also have stereo to the headphone output. The TV manufacturer expects the end user is primarily interested in multi-channel output. If you go into your SOUND or AUDIO settings you will likely see a list of options where you can choose which outputs to enable and/or how many channels to output. Some choices may force you to choose between two desirable outcomes, and give up something.

Q: Questionwill this device send audio to 2 Bluetooth speakers?
Asked by Jim.
- A:Answer Yes, it can connect with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. This can be any combination of two speakers, two headphones or even a pair of headphones and a speaker.

Q: Questionmy indicator light is constantly on red and blue and it won't turn off, what does this mean?
Asked by cree.
- A:Answer According to Aluratek customer service, which I just called about my own device with the same symptom, the solid blue and red light together means this device has to be reset, but that is not possible. They told me I have to return mine to replace it with a different model (ABC01F) which is resettable but costs 138% more than this one.

Q: QuestionDoes this device support the HI-FI audio modes as well as the lo-fi communication modes?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Absolutely not. If it "technically does" through the bluetooth spec, it still sounds like junk. This transmitter is VERY noisy. Static and ticking. It is not what you want for hi-fi by any means.
