I use it with Sony headphones and I had to shut down all my other Bluetooth transmitting connections (like my iPhone) that are in range to get it to connect. I think the problem is the headphones, not the transmitter. They gravitate to strongest pairing source (which in my case is the iPhone). If I shut down Bluetooth on the iPhone, the headphones pair with the transmitter. So don't clean up your list, just turn off the other sources.

I had trouble just one month after owning the Alura Bluetooth Transmitter device - it would not pair and the light would not turn off. I read reviews online and tried this one: LET YOUR DEVICE RUN OUT OF POWER COMPLETELY, THEN CHARGE IT UP AGAIN. THIS MIGHT RESET IT. Good news, it did reset and it's working again. Better news - I contacted Alura Customer Service and they asked me to send them proof of purchase and they will replace device if it is faulty. I'm watching to see if it fails again.
