• Yup. You might have a weak signal depending on that’s in between the two devices but it’s good for up to 30ft.

• In theory you can do this. However, bluetooth has its limitations on how far and how many walls it will go through. You could test bluetooth range by placing your smartphone by the receiver and see if it will connect with bluetooth speakers in the basement.
