“Are the high temp and heat dry off by default? If not, can they be programmed to be by default? I like a normal wash without those features, so would I be able to have it so that I have to press only two buttons each time I put in a load of dishes?”

Once you find the settings you want, just press the control lock button and hold for 3 seconds (until the light comes on). You'll be all set til you want to change it. Good Luck! :)
