“Is the heating element electric, or do I need a gas hook up for the washer?”

• As far as I know there is no heating element in a washing machine. The heat comes from the temp of your hot water heater. The washing machine has an electronic temp sensor to adjust the temp from cool, cold, warm, hot, and uses your hot and cold water inlets to adjust the temp to the proper setting. Hope this helps.

• Washers do not have heating elements. Just a cold or hot water intake.
