“I have the washer set on Auto sensing and it doesn't seem to do a rinse. I have noticed it doesn't fill with water on a rinse. It spins while putting a small amount of water in and then proceeds to final spin.”

My washer did the same only it didn't rinse on regular wash. It washed an went to spin on rinsing.
