“Does this have to vent out of a window? And is it louder than a window AC?”

Has window vent and is much quieter than a normal window ac.

Yes, the AC vents out of the window. VERY easy to install. When running the sound is very comparable to a window AC however once cool the AC operates at fan level until the AC kicks on again. I'm extremely satisfied with it...
