when you buy this they will have you purchase the cord package in which there are both 3 and 4 prong plugs and they will use the appropriate one.

This model does not come with an electrical cord, one needs to be purchased separately. This model can take either a 3 or a 4-prong cord.

You have to buy the plug separately from the dryer. The dryer does not come with the plug. So if your apartment calls for a 3-prong, then go to BestBuy and buy a 3-prong for your dryer. The dryer instructions come with instructions for 3-prong and for 4 prong.
