It depends on the library, but our local library offers a service where you can virtually check out books with a valid library card. Talk to your librarian for details on what devices they allow, or if they even offer the service.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would check with your library. I have found that the libraries in our county in Oregon have lots of e-books to borrow. Check with yours to see what program they are using. They will be able to help you download it and get you all set up. Usually you can have a book for 3 weeks and after that time it just stops working on your unit. Some books can be renewed, but most won't because of demand. You can also find free books at Amazon and a number of other sources. Just search "free e-books" and lists of source will come up.
