will it plug into and work with the Bose wave radio null

Not through an AUX cord which is unfortunate. Nor can you connect it VIA Bluetooth. The echo DOT and echo DOT 2 can however connect to external speakers.

It has a plug in but why would you want to plug a Bose in to this?

I believe the Echo Tap which is like a portable speaker can connect but you can find this answer for sure by googling about Tap.
