• The echo auto has its own Mic And will use it by default. . I would recommend to use the aux cable it sounds better in my opinion

• Hi Erin, Yes Echo Auto would be a great option, the device has 8 microphones built in which hear you even during a windy drive. Echo Auto output audio via your cars speakers. Hope this helps!
