It will stream from Prime and a pay service called prime plus.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The dot does not stream (I assume you are talking about streaming video to your tv). The dot allows you to ask alexa questions (and perform tasks like add items to your calendar). It's like Siri (from apple) but it works. You can also add smart home products to you can control your lights/garage door/etc with just your voice).

Can also ask Alexa for weather, jokes, play 20 questions, jeopardy etc... Can also do smart home control with supported devices with Echo. The Streaming stick is for connecting to TV for streaming video so they are completely different as far as I'm concerned. Echo streams Audio only.
