Yep! (well, that and a power outlet) Plus it works with Tile to find keys and phone. Also we have a dealeo that hooks to our light switch and can turn lights off and on with our voice through the Echo. Pretty cool

You would need Wi-Fi and a smartphone to do the set up. It's easy and includes a quick set up guide.

You will need wifi to get the basic uses (asking it questions, set reminders, etc). But if you want it to be able to control your lights and power things on you will need a smart outlet or smart lights. If you want to be able to control your tv i.e. "Alexa turn on netflix" you will need a hub (harmony).

Yes, you can also connect it to your smartphone to make calls once you download app.

I think that is all you need, I’m not really sure. I have Amazon Prime, so I can access all kinds of music for free! It’s like having thousands of CDs. But with just WiFi, you can ask Alexa questions about sport scores and weather..things like that.
