• I have connected all three devices (Echo, Dot, and the Tap) at multiple locations in different households and in different parts of town. I have used both my smart phone and laptop. Never a problem. Amazon has the installation process of these devices down pat. Easy-peezie.

• Yes you can set it up using a laptop as long as you have the music apps.

• You can set it from a pc. Just download the Alexa App.

• It is all driven from the Amazon Alexa app which will need a smart phone or tablet with those functionalities.
