My Logitech HARMONY remote that I bought 1 year ago works directly with Alexa, BUT only if your Harmony remote came with the Harmony Hub. The Hub is the black device that sends the IR signal to your TV. If your Harmony only came with the remote, then Alexa can not work with it. So now I can say "Alexa turn on Apple TV" and Harmony turns on the TV, Apple TV, Sound System, and changes to the correct Inputs. The Dot is worth the price even if you only use it for music, just make sure to hook it up to some decent speakers. You don't want to use the Dot speaker to listen to music. I have some decent computer speakers plugged into my Dots.
