• Yes you need to get a a "SKILL" they are free in the alexa app and there is a skill for that i just can't remember what its called

• You could use the app IFTT to do this. You would then say, "Alexa, trigger [emergency]" or whatever word you choose and IFTT would carry out the command. Check it out on Android and iOS.
