You have to download the amazon echo app and that will guide you thru everything. Google home mini setup is WAY EASIER. If you are not too good with technology, I would get the Google mini because Amazon echo has too many skills commands you need to remember

There will be two connections that will occur in the setup process: one to an Amazon-named connection and one to the name of your Wi-Fi network. Once these two are defined and connected, the fun begins. Start exploring the areas of interest to you. For us it was the music segment. Adding radio stations from Pandora was easy and worked; so does Iheart, and others. Amazon will make available a 30-day free trial of their Music Unlimited for your evaluation. Don't be afraid of it; it won't bite. It just works very well.
