• Yes, Alexa does keep separate lists if you just tell her to. You can have a grocery shopping list or a task list separately. Not sure what you meant by different users but I'm sure if you differentiate the name of the lists it should work for you.

• Echo Dot does not differentiate different users. Alexa responded immediately to my voice, my wife's voice or our friends.
