It's all in your set up. Pair your speakers or don't so they play different songs. Love the stereo effect of pairing two Dots together.

If they are all set up in different rooms and you ask to hear different songs from each one this is possible. Depending on your music plan, Alexa may ask if you want to switch to streaming music on each device to play in unison to which you would respond "no." As long as the Echo dots are in different rooms, have location names like "bedroom" and not grouped in your Alexa app you can do so! Hope that helps!
